Tribbles' "trilling seems to have a tranquilizing effect on the Human nervous system. Fortunately, of course … I am immune … to its effect.", Spock analyzed in "Star Trek: The Original Series" while stroking of of those tribbles. But those small, cute animals did not like Klingons, shrieking in fear when they get close to any - and that feeling is mutual, as Worf explained later in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", with the reason being "They do nothing but consume food and breed. If you feed that thing more than the smallest morsel, in a few hours you'll have ten tribbles, then a hundred – then a thousand!" Unlike the Klingons, we would never try to wipe out those Tribbles just because of their fast procreation...We did get hold of a very special breed of tribbles, still small but already cooing/purring (when squeezed), and incredibly cute, and from all we have seen so far, all humans and aliens alike do absolutely adore them.
