The Excelsior class was supposed to be the big next generation of starships, with new experimental propulsion and a list of other improvements. While the prototype failed to perform, even a new Enterprise was built of this class, running into a space nexus on its maiden voyage and losing a decorated captain to it. That said, its silhouette will look gorgeous on you as dangling earrings!
